Devin receives a new swimming pool complete with a hoist

Devin is an 18 year old boy from the West side of Saint John, with multiple disabilities. They include being legally blind, hearing impaired, neuromuscular disease, non-verbal, solitary kidney, scoliosis, seizures & osteoporosis resulting in a number of compression fractures of the spine. He made a big impression on our volunteers that visited him. A pool to enhance his therapy. What transpired was one of our biggest wishes ever. First a swimming pool was installed – then a team of w4w volunteers extended the existing deck to reach the the pool. Finally last month we were able to order a hoist that will allow his parents to more easily lift him in and out of the pool.

Our since thx go to all the volunteers involved throughout this wish. Also to Sheryl Moore and the Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce for inviting us to present this wish at their annual Golf tournament & making a donation for the second successive year. We wish Devin many years of joy in his new pool.
