Jack gets a Hippocamp chair

Friday the 15th proved to be a lucky day for a young Quispamsis boy that was given the gift of greater mobility. Jack was born with a cyst on his brain and also suffers from cerebral palsy – confining him to a wheelchair. W4W wish makers Shirley & Jordan met the family in April of this year and together set about making sure this was one wish that would come true. The “Hippocampe” wheelchair is truly the latest in high tech engineering and will not only handle the forest trails and beaches – it also has ski attachments so Jack will get out in the snow. A special thanks to Creative Solutions on Rothesay Avenue for doing a spectacular repair job (at no cost) after a small mishap as the chair was on route from Texas. Many thanks also to Yennah and her amazing crew from the KV Oasis Youth Centre in Quispamsis for allowing us to host the event in their fantastic centre and for providing the coffee & food. We wish Jack & his parents many years of shared outdoor enjoyment with their new wheels.
