Hanna has a new pool party

Hanna recently celebrated her 8th birthday though not in the way most children do. She was born with Right Coronary Artery Fistula and has undergone several surgeries to correct this. During one of those operations it was discovered she also had an inoperable aneurysm as well. Because of this she is unable to play contact sports, jump on trampolines or bouncy castles, enjoy certain playground equipment or go sliding on the school hill.

The first Sunday of fall turned out to be a fantastic day for wish granting. Plaster Rock was very hot & bathed in sunshine as a group of Hannas’ friends showed up to help her celebrate her dream wish of a new swimming pool. We arrived to the sound of children splashing and adults munching at the bar-b-que & fabulous table of food. After a short ribbon cutting ceremony the kids couldn’t wait to jump right back in the water.
Our sincere thanks to the good people at River Valley Pools in Nerepis for the 1st class job and we are pleased to welcome them aboard as our preferred pool installer. Also thanks to W4W volunteers Laura & Debbie for taking over camera and video duties at short notice and to apprentice volunteers Brooklyn and Jackson who also made the long trip.
Here’s wishing Hanna and her family many more hot days this fall to enjoy their new pool.
