We were so excited on Sunday to present Emma with her wish of a room that is open and spacious so that she can hang out with her friends and be able to dance to her heart’s content.

Emma was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma early in 2019 which resulted in many trips back and forth to the IWK for her treatment. She has since completed all her treatments, YAY and is looking forward to getting back to “normal” life with her family and friends. We met with the family in January 2020 and thought we would be able to get the room finished for Emma in time for her 16th birthday in July, but then there was Covid.

We had to pause the wish for a bit, but with the help of Kevin Berriault at Berriault Builders who graciously donated his time to complete this room, along with his helper Jerry, and Bill Snodgrass who went above and beyond to help, we were finally able to complete this wish for Emma. She now has a space to relax, watch TV, chill with friends, or dance around in circles for hours in the basement of her family home.

Wishmaker Debbie said I am very proud to have been able to work on this wish for this very deserving young lady and I can’t wait to see where life takes her. Emma we at Workers4Wishes, wish you all the best for your future.

Last but certainly not least, we would also like to take a moment and thank the IBEW502 and The General Presidents Maintenance Committee for all their generosity and continued support. We would not be able to make these wishes come true without their help.
