Isaac’s Basketball Court Wish

Recently we were pleased to participate in a ribbon cutting ceremony for the most unique of wishes that has ever been requested. Having met Isaac we were aware of his love for all things basketball and the LA Lakers.
Isaac’s wish was to have his own basketball in his back yard and in a safe spot. Our team always up for the challenge launched themselves into the task. First up excavating the area and bringing in tons of gravel. Next our friends at H W McLean & sons came in and paved the area. Following that Fundy Fencing joined in and fenced in the whole court.
Next up was the KV Lions, partners with us in many wish adventures, they painted the court, added mesh netting and supplied and installed the basketball net.
Not done there our friends at Gil-son Construction added floodlighting and added LED lighting on top of the fence. Also a neon number 23 was added to the fence as a tribute to his favourite player.
The official opening was a wonderful event with family & friends being joined by our wish team and some contractor reps.
Our deepest gratitude to the General Presidents Maintenance Committee of Canada, New Brunswick’s Building Trades Unions and Gil-son Construction who help support us financially and also contribute to the actual wish creation. We are so grateful.
